Payment Policy
What gets charged, by whom, and when — explained plainly.
Last updated: May 2026
AirfareHub is an independent travel agency and is not an airline, nor is it affiliated with any airline. We are an independent travel intermediary and process only our own booking fee through our merchant account.
E-Signature Authorization Process
Every booking at AirfareHub is completed through our Authorized Booking Model. Before any card is charged, we send you a DocuSign booking authorization document that includes:
- Full passenger name(s) as they appear on the passport
- Complete itinerary — origin, destination, dates, cabin class, and airline
- Exact airfare amount and the name and statement descriptor of the ticketing party
- AirfareHub booking fee and the descriptor AIRFAREHUB as it will appear on your statement
- Total combined amount
- Applicable fare rules — refundable or non-refundable, change fees, baggage allowance
- 24-hour DOT voluntary cancellation rights notice where applicable
You review the document and e-sign. No charge is processed until your signed authorization is received and logged. A copy of your signed document is available on request at any time.
Dual-Rail Charge Disclosure
Your airfare is issued and charged either by the airline directly or by one of our accredited ticketing partners that books through the airline's reservation system. The company that charges your card can vary by itinerary. Before any charge is processed, we send you a signed booking authorization via DocuSign detailing exactly which company will charge your card for the airfare, the exact amount, and how the charge will appear on your statement. AirfareHub charges only its own booking fee, shown separately as AIRFAREHUB.
How Payment Works
When you book through AirfareHub, two separate charges occur from two separate parties:
1. The Airfare Charge
Your airfare, including applicable taxes and government-imposed fees, is charged either by the airline directly or by one of our accredited ticketing partners that books through the airline's reservation system. AirfareHub does not issue tickets directly and does not receive or process the airfare payment.
The company that charges your card for the airfare can vary by itinerary. Before you authorize anything, we will tell you in writing: (a) the name of the company charging your card for the airfare; (b) the exact amount they will charge; and (c) how the charge will appear on your card statement.
2. The AirfareHub Booking Fee
SL Distributors LLC, doing business as AirfareHub, charges a booking fee for sourcing, quoting, and coordinating your booking. This fee is always disclosed as a separate line item in your written quote. It is a separate transaction from the airfare and will appear on your statement as AIRFAREHUB.
Authorization Before Any Charge
No charge is made to any card until the customer has reviewed and signed a booking authorization document via DocuSign confirming the exact amounts. Amounts are confirmed in advance and do not change after authorization.
The signed booking authorization you provide will clearly state both charges: the airfare amount (and who charges it), and the AirfareHub booking fee. Neither amount will change after you authorize.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. The specific methods accepted for the airfare charge depend on the ticketing partner — this will be clarified in your written quote.
Billing Descriptor
The AirfareHub booking fee will appear on your card statement as AIRFAREHUB. If you see this descriptor and have questions, contact us directly — do not dispute the charge before speaking with us, as disputes can complicate resolution.
Refunds and Disputes
Refund eligibility for the airfare portion depends on the fare rules of the ticket purchased. Our booking fee is non-refundable once a booking is completed. For full details, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Security
AirfareHub does not store payment card numbers. Payment processing for the booking fee is handled by our payment processor using industry-standard encryption. We do not have access to the card data used for the airfare charge by the ticketing partner.
