Taxes & Fees
Every charge explained — government taxes, airline fees, and the AirfareHub booking fee — always disclosed separately before you authorize.

AirfareHub is an independent travel agency and is not an airline, nor is it affiliated with any airline.
Government Taxes
All airfares quoted by AirfareHub include applicable government and airport taxes unless explicitly stated otherwise. These taxes are mandated by governmental and regulatory bodies — including the U.S. federal government, foreign governments, and relevant aviation authorities — and are a non-negotiable component of every commercial airline ticket.
Examples of government-imposed taxes and fees that may be included in an airfare quote include, but are not limited to:
- U.S. federal excise tax on domestic air transportation;
- U.S. international departure and arrival taxes;
- Passenger facility charges (PFCs) levied by airports;
- September 11th Security Fee (U.S. domestic and international);
- Foreign government taxes and airport charges on international routes.
AirfareHub has no ability to waive, reduce, or negotiate these charges. They are collected by the airline on behalf of the relevant authorities and are included in the quoted airfare price as a single bundled component.
Airline Fees
In addition to government taxes, airlines may impose their own fees on travelers. These may be optional or mandatory depending on the airline and the service involved. Common airline fees include:
- Checked baggage fees;
- Carry-on baggage fees (on certain low-cost carriers);
- Seat selection or assignment fees;
- Change fees or cancellation fees (on non-refundable fares);
- Meal or in-flight service fees on certain carriers.
Some of these fees may be included in the quoted airfare total; others may be charged separately by the airline at check-in or during the booking process. AirfareHub will disclose to you at the time of quoting whether any such fees are known to be included in or excluded from the quoted fare. Fees imposed directly by the airline after ticket issuance (such as at check-in) are outside AirfareHub's control and are the responsibility of the traveler.
AirfareHub Booking Fee
AirfareHub charges a booking fee for our quote sourcing, pricing research, and booking coordination services. This fee is charged by SL Distributors LLC, operating as AirfareHub, and is a completely separate charge from the airfare component of your booking.
The AirfareHub booking fee:
- Is always a separate line item in your written quote — it is never bundled into the airfare total;
- Appears on your card statement as AIRFAREHUB;
- Is non-refundable once a booking has been completed and a ticket has been issued, as it covers services that have been fully rendered at that point;
- Is collected only after you provide signed booking authorization — no fee is charged until you explicitly approve it.
The specific amount of the booking fee for your booking will be stated clearly in your written quote before you are asked to authorize anything.
Fee Transparency
AirfareHub is committed to complete fee transparency. Every written quote we provide lists the following as separate, clearly labeled line items:
- Airfare (including taxes and applicable fees) — the total amount for the ticket as charged by the ticketing partner, including all government taxes and any airline fees included in the fare;
- AirfareHub booking fee — our separate coordination fee, charged by SL Distributors LLC and appearing on your statement as AIRFAREHUB.
Both amounts are fixed and confirmed in the written quote. Neither changes after you provide signed booking authorization. You will never be charged an amount you did not explicitly approve.
No Hidden Fees
AirfareHub does not impose any fees beyond the AirfareHub booking fee described above. There are no enrollment fees, membership fees, processing fees, or administrative surcharges added by AirfareHub that are not disclosed in your written quote.
No charge is made to any card until the customer has reviewed and signed a booking authorization document via DocuSign confirming the exact amounts. Amounts are confirmed in advance and do not change after authorization. If you have any question about a fee or charge that appears in your quote, contact us before authorizing so we can clarify it completely.
